HISTORY

Since introducing the world's first foam-soled, soft, washable slipper in 1947, our product focus and operating model have evolved beyond our footwear roots to serve the ever-changing accessories marketplace. That evolution was never more apparent than during fiscal 2011. We literally transformed our business from a one-dimensional, modest-growth slipper company into a multi-dimensional, growing provider of functional, fashionable accessory products with the acquisitions of two successful accessories businesses - Foot Petals, Inc. of Long Beach, California, and baggallini, Inc. of Portland, Oregon.
CHARITABLE GIVING

RG Barry believes that it is the responsibility of a good corporate citizen to support the communities in which it lives and works. Toward that end, the Company's Board of Directors annually sets aside a portion of pre-tax net profit for use in supporting various charitable and community endeavors.

Distribution of the Corporation's charitable gifts is controlled by an 8-member committee of RG Barry team members selected annually from throughout the Corporation.

The types of charitable and community programs supported by the Company include: 501c3 charities, community- and school-related events and service organizations in communities where the Company has business operations; 501c3 charitable organizations supported by our team members or business partners; and local, regional and national footwear industry-based 501c3 organizations.

Some of the organizations supported by RG Barry Brands include: Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana; United Negro College Fund, Inc.; local chapters of the American Red Cross; Soles 4 Souls; Two-Ten Foundation; Portland Public Schools libraries; “P;ear” Portland; Columbus College of Art & Design Senior Fashion Show; Pickerington Violet Festival; Mid-Ohio Food Bank; and dozens of other community, school, youth and charitable groups and programs.

The Corporation also provides paid time off for its team members to participate in various pre-approved charitable and community activities. Team members are strongly encouraged to volunteer their own time for charitable, civic and social programs within their individual communities.




Organizations seeking support must meet the basic guidelines outlined above. Requests for consideration should include the following:

2. Description of organization and its relationship to RG Barry
3. 501c3 number (if applicable)
4. Amount being requested
5. Proposed use of support
6. Date by which the support is needed
